Location
We had just moved to Atlanta and my daughter had not started with her ballet studio yet. She was making use of the beautiful wood floors and windows to practice.Time
This was picture was taken mid afternoon among the very tall ponderosa pines and white oaks that surround the home casting dappled filtered light.Lighting
The house is surrounded by very old 100 foot trees which filter light even the brightest days.Equipment
No special equipment with this shot.Inspiration
I was laying on the floor watching my daughter stretch and the light was low and outlining her formEditing
I adjusted the contrast to bring a more depth to the picture. In my camera bag
A few filters, batteries... always batteries, cleansing cloths, and a bean bag to pose the camera at angles from the floor.Feedback
I am learning all the time. I feel like most of the best shots I have taken have been serendipitous so I always carry a camera and use my iPhone. Experiment.Challenge your eye and let go of the rules!
