Hiking up the Butte in winter will most likely mean that there wont be a lot of people. At least compared to how many hike up in the summer. Like the average amount of people I see up there in the winter would be around 2-3 groups. Each mostly consisting of 1-3 people, and usually at least a dog. And I have occasionally seen people hike up with goats, and also that one time I saw someone hiking
with their cat.
