Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary ( Keoladeo National Park), Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India. Bharatpur Bird sanctuary is a birders paradise particularly in January - February.

Time

This pic was taken on one early morning of January. The pic features the beautiful road in morning mist. This road is the main road induce the sanctuary that leads to birding places.

Lighting

The pic was taken in morning golden hour when the light was little soft particularly due to mist but was a perfect to create a light and shade pattern across the path.

Equipment

Sony A77M2 camera + Tamron 150-600 G2 lens. The pic was taken handheld.

Inspiration

The early winter morning of the day, the golden hour the sunrays were soft and from between the big old trees they were falling on road creating a golden and green pattern of light and shade cross the road path. The greyish mist was adding colour to the pic and cycle rickshaw and benches on both sides of road were adding to the beauty of the frame. I could not have asked a better landscape frame to start an otherwise birding day. I couldn't resist to click this beautiful landscape even with a super-telephoto zoom lens ( Tamron 150-600 G2) at 150 mm.

Editing

Yes, using primarily the exposure, contrast, saturation, sharpness, highlights & shadows in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

I have a particular affinity towards wildlife mainly mammals and birds, but don't lose the opportunity to click landscapes often. I have recently upgraded my gear so now I carry Sony SEL 200-600 lens mounted on Sony A7M3 mirroless camera as primary set. I also keep Tamron 16-300 mm mounted on Sony A57 camera for landscape/street/portrait/close mammals. Apart from this the camera bag has lens/ camera cleaning kit, spare batteries + battery chargers for both cameras, USB & HDMI cables, camera/lens front/back covers, photography gloves, bag rain cover and lens rain cover

Feedback

Please pay attention to the light, it's direction, and frame. Some object that add to the frame, like benches & cycle rickshaw here in frame would enhance the beauty, however they should be smaller in size as compared to frame so as to not become the main attraction or distraction in frame.
