I shot this photo at Center for Birds of Prey near Charleston SC.Time
It was in the morning. They do a photography day that starts early and features many of their birds.Lighting
It was a cloudy morning.Equipment
I used my Canon Rebel T6 with a Canon 75-300 lens.Inspiration
I love birds of prey. They are so beautiful and expressive. I was excited to get to see these birds up close in an environment that allowed me to concentrate on getting a great shot.Editing
I did a little post processing, mainly some slight lighting adjustments. In my camera bag
I normally have my T6, and a variety of lenses. I really enjoying shooting with my 100-400mm and my wide angle lenses. I also shoot with my iPhone some as well.Feedback
Well it helps if you can find a sanctuary like this which showcases their birds specifically for photographers. I have caught some shots of birds of prey in the wild and the biggest advice is to know about the birds and their habits. A great deal of patience also helps.
