An organization I belong to has over 25 miles of Rail Trails here in Mass. We do most of our own tree work. I am fortunate enough to do some of the felling. We had a group of about 6 - 20" dead pines needing to be dropped. As I was felling them, we were serenaded by a group of Marine Corps pre-recruits on the trail below us doing their pull ups on a traveling chin up bar. Reminded me of days gone by.
