Location

This shot was taken in my daughter's bedroom. She and our new puppy were sharing a moment while she listened to some music through her headphones.

Time

It was taken in the afternoon.

Lighting

I used natural light from a south facing window in front of my models.

Equipment

I used my Canon 5D Mark II and my Canon 85mm f/1.2, which is my go-to indoor lens.

Inspiration

Our new puppy is so cute; it is hard not to take photos of him, and my daughter's love of animals is a joy to capture.

Editing

I did some minimal color grading and contrast saturation adjustments in Photoshop and Lightroom.

In my camera bag

I have a Canon 5DMark II and several different lenses, my favorites being my Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 and my Canon 85mm f/1.2.

Feedback

My advice would be to not force things. Let your models do their thing and just be there to capture it.
