Behind The Lens

Location

Behind Godshill high street on the Isle of Wight, there is a delightful row of cottages in front of the town church. A beautiful place to visit if you ever get the chance.

Time

Early afternoon - we'd just had lunch at The Chocolate Factory and needed to walk off the effects of waffles, chocolates, milkshake and toppings.

Lighting

The lighting wasn't optimal as evidenced by the grey skies. It had been raining earlier in the day but the weather held long enough for the shot but sadly blue skies were missing.

Equipment

Camera \ Lens - no flash, handheld, no tripod.

Inspiration

The Isle of Wight is a wonderful nostalgic trip back in time and this shot perfectly typifies the feel of the island. Something you don't get in many place on the mainland.

Editing

Some light editing in Lightroom but nothing more. The shot is pretty much as taken.

In my camera bag

Nikon D750, Tokina 16-28mm F2.8 lens, Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 lens, filters , spare SD cards and a mini tripod 'just in case'.
