Location
This Photo was taken in Åre, Sweden. The place is known for the amazing ski resorts in Scandinavia. It also offers a lot of winter and summer adventure activities such as zip-line, Cycling, mountain climbing and more. This photo was taken in the outskirts when exploring the places around. We came to a high place where you can see the infinite range of snow and the clouds packed up so tight. The light is trying so hard to penetrate the clouds.Time
This was take in the afternoon around 2:00 PM. As you get closer to the arctic circle, the time and suns path sometimes makes no sense if you have not learnt about it.Lighting
The natural light availability is very low and only available for couple of hours in the northern part of Scandinavia. This was during the sunset and was around 2:00 PM Swedish time. The sunset colors are beautiful in here with the light piercing the clouds, it turns slowly into blue and fades into darkness. It is always good to have a wider lens to shoot in these parts of the world, so that the maximum light can enter the lens.Equipment
This was a point and shoot camera, Canon Powershot SX50 HS. Handheld shot with no other accessories.Inspiration
This was officially my first click on a digital camera. I was really happy with my first take. Actually, this photo has inspired me to become a better photographer and also make photography as my primary hobby. irrespective of the picture being good, there are so many flaws in the picture. This has helped me to learn better techniques in photography.Editing
Slight increase of luminance to make it bright and visible, 5 % of increase in saturation to make the yellow/orange to dominate and decreased a bit of shadows. In my camera bag
I have come a long way from point and shoot camera. My camera bag consists of Canon 77D, Kit lens of 18-55 mm and a Wider lens of 10-18 mm. A tripod to shoot steady shots and long exposures. A pack of low cost ND filters for Landscape photography. 2 more memory cards and a hard disk in case of shortage of memory capacity. I try to keep my bag as light as possible, so that helps me to wander and also enjoy the destination.Feedback
The two major things to consider with technical view is that 1) Always think of view other than the eye level to make it a better shot and a different perspective. 2) Composition is the key to the picture, try to get various compositions of the same subject. Never miss to enjoy the shoot, be it professional or hobby, enjoy the shoot thoroughly and try to be as innovative as possible.
