Greetings! Stopped by a local waste management landfill to drop off my recycle items. Being a wildlife photographer, my interest turned to the hundreds of birds up on the hill. And then, I saw it...….the mounds and mounds of landfill debris...…..and the majority of it appeared to be plastic waste. We are truly burying ourselves in plastic. I am working hard to minimize my use of single use plastic items. Bottles and shopping bags clearly are making up the majority of this landfill pile. These items are easily replaced with reusable bags and drink containers. We all need to work together to stop feeding our landfills and find more eco friendly products to help protect our environment and wildlife. What changes are you making? Small changes by us all can lead to global change. Spread the word and let's make a change for a better tomorrow.
