Sea of Flames

Mumbai is a vast concrete jungle but in midst of it, you have the Aarey forest. Also just to mention this hill is home to quite a few wild animals including leopards. I live right next to it. That night while I was lying on my bed I saw a huge fire right above the hill in front of my building. at first, I thought there must be some film shoot going on but as I went down I saw fire brigade and police barricading the area and trying to put off this "WILDFIRE". It was looking like All the images which I had seen of California wildfire. I was a bit scared because this fire was right across my building separated by a 20-foot road. The first thing that came to my mind was to document this whole incident. I rushed back to my apartment, grabbed my camera and went back right into the action with firefighters. It took them 1 whole night to get control over this fire which was scattered across the hill. Local people were also very proactive in helping the fire department. Hope that this was first and the last time something like this would happen.
