Location
Albert Falls is located outside of Thomas, West Virginia on the North Fork of the Blackwater River. It is near the famous Blackwater Falls in the Canaan Valley. There are abandoned coke oven domes just above these falls (and Douglas Falls), and we believe there is still some acid that seeps in the river and causes the water to have a turquois hue. The is one of the many places we go hiking.Time
I believe the time of day was afternoon. Sometimes it is very shady in this area and sometimes we have good light.Lighting
