Behind The Lens
Location
This shot was taken at a friends house in Dallas. We used an oversized black light, dressed her in neon colors, and I placed a mirror behind her to get a unique effect. I’m a intermediate photographer still learning many things and love seeing life through my lens.Time
It was late evening when this shot was taken but we were indoors with all of the lights off making it hard to distinguish by the viewer whether it is day or night.Lighting
Having all the lights off, using just a black light, and placing my subject In neon clothing against different backgrounds changed the looks of the photos completely.Equipment
I actually relied just on the use of my iPhone and for light I used a large black light.Inspiration
My friend was wearing a neon outfit and I noticed she had a rather large black light propped up in the corner. Thinking about neon and black lights gave me the idea to pull out my phone and start snapping away.Editing
I used photoshop afterwards just to brighten the colors a bit.In my camera bag
My dslr canon T3, another 70-300mm lens, a wide angle lens, a macro lens, color filters, a external flash, and extra batteries.Feedback
Work with different backgrounds, focus on your subjects attire, and unique ways to position the person.
