I had taken this shot from my bedroom window looking into the garden and due to the height of some of the trees the iguanas love to climb and sunbathe or other stuff ;) I am a Caribbean based photographer so the natural environment provides great opportunity to view different species of animalsTime
I believe this shot was taken mid morning. I had happened to look out the window because I know the iguanas are usually somewhere in the trees and my eyes have been trained to notice movement. At the same moment I looked out,I saw two iguanas climbing. Usually I capture one at a time but to see two, one male and female was a rare occurrence. I rushed to the next room where I had my equipment, grabbed my camera and just started shooting as they climbed and then what ended in the photograph you see now.Lighting
I am all for natural lighting so it was making sure that the photo was neither over exposed nor underexposed.Equipment
This was shot with my 7D MarkII and 70-200mmInspiration
This was a chance encounter to photograph iguanas mating so I grabbed it.Editing
To be honest I try to shoot as I see it because I don't like to do too much post processing except for a bit of general contrast and sharpening in the eyes.In my camera bag
Well my 24-105mm with my Canon 7D MarkII are my go too but I also have a wide angle 10-18mm for landscape which I use quite often when hiking and my 50mm 1.8 is there for portraits.Feedback
Have patience, take different perspectives or angles and simply enjoy what you see in front of you.
