Hi squirrel 🐿

Behind The Lens

Location

Lunchtime walks from my office in East Hull take me to this lovely public park. Squirrels rule the area and their curiosity (and search for food) mean they are never far away.

Time

Lunchtime for this shot but pretty much there for the taking at any time during daylight hours.

Lighting

Just good daylight to this.

Equipment

The shot was hand held and I think it was my Pentax K3 with a 55-300 lens. A wonderful itilitarian combination - my go to set up.

Inspiration

My passion is wildlife and this little cutie just caught my eye. Shallow depth of field ensured great bokeh.

Editing

No. Sooc.

In my camera bag

I have too bags! My long term kit is Pentax - K3 and a range of lenses. 18-55 and 50-200 kit lenses. The 55-300 which is usually on the camera and a nifty fifty. A cheap but credible Opteka 650-1300 is not strictly in the bag as it won't fit. A recent foray into mft fills bag 2. A similar lens profile of Olympus glass and an adapter for the Opteka. The common theme is both systems had great IBIS.

Feedback

Wildlife photography is a bit like fishing. Pick your spot and wait for the animals to come to you. In this case a bit of peanut bribery speeds things up.
