This beautiful flower was shot in my parents garden. I had just moved from Colorado back home to San Diego California in 2018Time
I had been walking around the garden in the afternoon when this gorgeous Lily had recently opened up. I usually do not take nature shots at mid day But the light rains had passed and I couldn’t resist on seeing what I could find.Lighting
I don’t usually find Lilies in this color, which I was drawn to.Equipment
I used my Canon 50D camera. It’s great for the outdoors shots. Nothing else was required.Inspiration
Nature shots are fantastic after it has rained. Hence, this flower was perfect.Editing
I usually do not do much processing other than adjusting the contrast.In my camera bag
Along with my Canon 50D I pack at least one other lens depending on where I’m going to take photographs. I always have at least one extra charged battery, memory cards and cord, in case I’m uploading onsite. Lens cloths are always a must. Nothing like a smudge on your lens that you don’t notice until you are uploading and it’s too late to retake your shots.Feedback
I would recommend that everyone watch the time of day or angle of the sun when shooting flowers.
