This photo represents self-reflection and, more importantly, the terribly human tendency to obscure that self-reflection and see only the parts of the self that are light.

This photo was taken in a department store on my Canon 70D with an 18-55mm zoom lens and wide angle attachment. I was experimenting with shallow depth of field photography while passively "Christmas shopping" with a friend (which means doing photography while she shopped) and thought it would be interesting to give a HAL's eye view of the store.

In depth of field served to send the florescent lights further out of focus as they receded into the background while providing just enough contrast to make out my silhouette if you look closely.

Though not technically a mirror I believe that this photo does an excellent job of reflecting the truth of myself through the lens while incorporating the very thing I use to exam others visually.
