Behind The Lens

Location

Normally I work in my private studio, but this time, this photo session was done in a professional studio, with good equipment and props with which to test various configurations, but above all with a lot of space and that gives another dimension to the work developed in one session.

Time

In this case, the information is not relevant since the work was in the studio and under artificial light, but it was done over the course of one morning.

Lighting

This image was made using a single point of light, located to the right of the model and with white reflectors on the opposite side, to tone the shadows.

Equipment

Canon 650D and EF-S18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM. Parameters are: 85mm - ƒ/8 - 1/160s - ISO 100

Inspiration

I like portraiture and, in general, any photographic genre with people. On this occasion she wanted to make a boudoir session that reflected the beauty of women in an elegant and natural way.

Editing

The treatment was quite reduced, the skin but little more. The final appearance of the image was achieved by reducing the saturation, but very little.

In my camera bag

The equipment that I have now is another one that I had when I took this photograph. Fortunately I have been able to increase and improve my equipment. What I always carry is the body of my Canon 5D MkIII, a Tanrom 24-70 f2.8 and a Canon 50mm f1.4. Also one or two flashes and tripod.

Feedback

When I work with people, with models, I try to bring out their soul, their feelings. Throughout the time that I have been doing photography I have learned to have a good direction of models and I believe that it is the most important thing to get the best out of them. I would recommend to anyone who wants to take these types of photos that they talk a lot with their models, make them feel comfortable and understand the situation of the type of image you want to achieve.
