Location
This photo was taken a Lake Tekapo, New Zealand. This is a magical sight for me and every occasion am learning on the magic from the Nature.Time
I woke up about 5:00am in the morning with my photo Buddy try to catch the Sunrise of Lake Tekapo. As the lake is quite big, we just estimate the light is going to come out behind the mountain range. It was a cold morning in Autumn about 2 degree Celsius, we park our car beside the road and wait for light. When we saw deem light, we went and setup our tripod to get ready for the sunrise.Lighting
The sight come really naturally. We did have a very clear sky for Milk way shooting the previous night, so we would expect a clear morning sunrise as well, so the cloud is a bonus. We just estimate the direction of the light, and we saw some beautiful scattered cloud which is perfect for sunrise shoot. We just shoot what nature has to offer. The weather and condition is perfect for Sunrise photography.Equipment
This was shot on Fujifilm XT-2 body, with 10-24mm F4 Len. This wide angle lens has help to capture the whole mountain range with beautiful sky. The Fujifilm Camera has been well known for its color.Inspiration
We have been scouting the right position on previous night for next morning sunrise, because the composition is very critical for me. The rest is go with the flow on the nature.Editing
This photo doesn’t need much post-processing, as the color and light is very good. I just brighten up a bit and some sharpening. In my camera bag
I always have a second Camera Fujifilm XT-1 as a backup with 18-135mm F3.5 all rounder Len. Also I always have my Drone DJI Mavic Air with me, to capture different dimension of the beautiful landscape.Feedback
I believe for any Landscape photography, we need to do some homework, especially to know the local condition. It is very advisable to scout the location and possibility. I always work on Option 1 and 2, always be prepare for the unexpected scenario. The rest leave it to luck.
