I took these photos a few years ago when I was just in 8th grade. I went on a full week backpacking trip in the Sierra Nevada Wilderness in Southern California, where many fires had taken place in the past. As seen in the first photograph, the nature around the dead trees is fluorescent. It was an amazing experience and I was able to capture the parts of nature that not many people have a chance to witness in California because of the disastrous wildfires that take place.
