Beautiful capture. Looks so peaceful with the way you captured the light.

Location
This picture shows the beautiful city of Trondheim, Norway. It was taken on the iconic tourist spot on the old bridge (gamle brun) over the Nidelven River.Time
I took the shot during sunrise to capture the best possible light. However, since this is a winter scene and Trondheim is far up north, sunrise was relatively late between 9 and 10 AM.Lighting
The golden hour sais it all.Equipment
I used my Canon EOS 60D with a wide angle lens, the canon EFS 10-22mm USM to be specific, at a focal length of 10mm, aperture of 4, and ISO 100. To smoothen the water I used a shutter speed of around 100 seconds, for which I needed my tripod and an ND filter.Inspiration
This is the most iconic spot in the city and since I spent six month living there, I wanted to give it a shot myself.Editing
I adjusted the lighting and colors in post production to get the most out of the colorful houses along the river. My camera didn't capture it as vibrant as it looks in real life.In my camera bag
I carry my Cannon EOS 60D along with a 30mm 1:1.4 fixed lens. Additionally I have the wide angle zoom lens, I used for this shot, which is the Cannon 10-22 1:3.5-4.5 and a Tamron 70-300mm telephoto zoom lens. I also have ND filters for the two shorter lenses and obviously always bring my tripod when i plan to use those. Last but not least are my remote control and, of course, spare batteries.Feedback
Make an effort to be there at the best time of day for optimal lighting. As can be seen in my profile, this was not my first attempt to capture this view. So go back several times during different conditions, until you hit that perfect day.
