I once saw a 17th century Dutch painting, Vanitas still life which featured human skulls with an almost burned out candle, crumbling books and wilted flowers. It was meant to represent mortality. I tried to get the same feeling of this with this photograph. I have a rather unrealistic plastic skull and flowers passed their best. I've included an old clock tying together entropy and the passage of time.
