From this photo, it's obvious that water levels have been dropping. Excluding water frozen at the caps only 1% of the earths water is drinkable. We are polluting it and going through it at a staggering rate. Depleting the groundwater is only a temporary solution and will have plenty of negative externalities. Desalination is a great course of action but a costly one with insufficient results. Troubled times ahead if we can't find a more permanent solution. The clock is ticking.
