Location
This photograph was taken at Forres in Scotland. I had never visited the area before and I was taken by the sight of the many boats and their reflections in the water.Time
I took the photo mid afternoon at around 3.00pm. There was not much sunshine as it was a cloudy day which meant a lack of strong light.Lighting
I liked the mood of the image and wanted to capture the stillness of the day in it.Equipment
I only had my mobile phone with me so managed to capture this shot on that.Inspiration
I loved the lines of the sail boat masts and the long reflections they created in The North Sea. The sea was particularly calm that day as it’s often quite choppy.Editing
No.In my camera bag
I find my iPhone 11 is all I require to capture great images.Feedback
Be ready to take the photo as the right subject appears in front of you. Keep observing when out and about as one can never tell when something aesthetically pleasing to you will be there. Try out several angles until the right one is evident.
