The most expensive sunset

It was late December in 2016, and we were in Tenerife for a short vacation.

We drove to this secluded beach in the north of the island to take some sunset shots. We parked the car on the main road near a restaurant and descended the stairs down to the beach with the beautiful black sand.

After taking a few shots we made our way back to the car, only to find that the window on the passenger side was shattered. The thieves apparently had all the time in the world, since they stole both some very valuable but also some very stupid items from the car.

They stole a trekking backpack filled with all of our camping gear, but they also stole the trashbag and 2 oranges (which were stored separately).

They left behind a smaller backpack with an expensive jacket inside, but stole from it some used tissues and more trash.

I hope the thieves were happy with the weird collection of things they stole.
This photo will forever remind me of those 4 short days in Tenerife and of the peculiar taste of thieves there.
