It has been the end of the day, about 6pm because it is the most beautiful time for portrait photo shooting in Porto, especially on the left side of the river. You can catch the warm light of the sun which is going down.Lighting
If you need a natural picture you need natural light. Try to see not only the object you are framing but also, and more importantly, try to see the light. How it flows, how it lights the subject, where it goes from, what the color of it and so on. It is rarely you can save the image relying on the object while the light is awful.
