Gibsonton, Florida is little nondescript town south of Tampa. It has been also called Showtown, U.S. A. and has been the home of the carnival workers since the 1930s and still is today. When the circus people were not traveling and performing they settled in homes in this small town.. The town even made a special zoning so the “carnies” could keep the circus animals and equipment in the front yards. There is a Gibtown Bikefest and some circus performers gave shows for the crowds. These are some photos is took.
