The photo was taken from the balcony at the Tate Modern in London, this was at a time where I only had a small SD card so I had to be pretty selective with shots which added an extra level of fun.Time
The was an incredible end to a pretty ordinary day, I had been walking around London for 8 hours looking for interesting compositions and locations. Fortunately I ended up at the Tate Modern right on golden hour to grab this shot.Lighting
The lighting was fantastic this day especially at golden hour, London almost prematurely lights up at this time. Accompanied with the beautiful cloud layers right after a rain storm added so much more.Equipment
I took this while traveling so i only had a little Olympus OMD EM-5, which was half destroyed by this time in the trip. I had no tripod and only the 12-50mm kit lens which added to the challenge.Inspiration
When I saw the rain clouds rolling in early in the day I knew this could be something special. I knew I wanted a landscape shot but when I saw the clouds I wanted to include more of them which helped me end up with this composition.Editing
I honestly don't remember what I did to this shot, but it was just a single shot edited on lightroom mobile, the colours were already pretty damn vibrant though. In my camera bag
This was my old travel setup, I was on the road for six months so it was key to pack light. Because of this I only had my Olympus with the 12-50mm and a gorilla tripod, and one spare battery. That's it.Feedback
There are some great elevated locations around london which you can get some awesome landscapes from it just takes a little searching. The Tate Modern is a fantastic one with 360° views, and a bonus is being able to look at all the incredible art on the way up.
