Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my home. Nothing was set up, I saw a picture perfect moment and decided to capture it.

Time

This was taken in the late afternoon/early evening hours.

Lighting

I love the sun behind her, though she’s young, it illuminates her and almost makes her seem older and wiser. She had a pretty rough early childhood and that light behind her is a reminder that there is still light within us.

Equipment

This was taken on an iPhone 7 Plus, no tripod or flash used.

Inspiration

We were on the swing set and the urge to photograph the moment just hit me.

Editing

Very little touching up was needed, the light provided great tones in the photo and I was satisfied with the picture.

In my camera bag

I’m a phone photographer, so usually just my iPhone and a charger.

Feedback

Photography is all about the right angles and the right lighting, if you can find those two in any moment in time, you already have a solid foundation to take some pretty amazing shots.
