An American crocodile comes out of the mangrove for a close encounter. Photographing crocs in the wild can be tricky business. For this shot, I was in the water and the croc approached me- and rested its jaws on my dome port of my underwater housing. Used a Tokina 10-17 lens.Behind me was our boat, so basically I was pinned. You cannot make sudden movements as they do snap at anything that moves. A bit of a game of challenge.

Kudos for getting such a great image under amazing circumstances. Why do I have to floss every night?

hahaha nope, used a wide angle - its jaws were resting on my dome port. It had me pinned to the boat for about 40 minutes. 😁
