On a not too cold day in winter, Gwithian Towans seemed the perfect place to blow the cobwebs away. The sea mist was so thick St Ives could hardly be seen across the bay but there were plenty of people about, walking their dogs and generally having fun.
Gwithian on the north Cornwall coast is a favourite destination for surfers as the constant swell coming in from the Atlantic Ocean provides good all year round conditions.
