I haven't seen many photos of Pothole falls, which may be because there's not a great way down to the water. I found what I thought was just a steep, muddy opening in the treeline above the falls, but it ended up being a slick rock face all the way down. After a bit of a tumble and a few cuts and bruises, I wound up in front of the falls. Aside from the rush of the water and a few birds, it was completely silent and cool, with a light breeze and the hint of rain.
