Location
The photo was taken in Czech Republic (Mladá Boleslav city), where I went with my smooth collie Tara to make this one specific photo.Time
We arrived to my friend in Mladá Boleslav around dinner and we must wait around 2 hours, because it started to rain. After rain we go to nearly forest and arange this photo.Lighting
I wanted more light for this photo because it was made after storm and weather was cloudy, forest was dark and i needed more light. But I put there higher ISO and I think that small adjustment in lightroom made from this RAW pretty and my favourite photo :)Equipment
Nikon D7100 + Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USDInspiration
I wanted to make photo of my happy dog with owl, like one photographer who made this photos with belgian shepherd and owls. I really love this photos and I wanted to try to make simillar photo.Editing
I put there some contrast in lightroom and delete wire strand, which was put on owl leg - it is owl from my friend who is hunter and hawker. In my camera bag
Uf a lot of equipment, because I don´t know which lens I will need so i bring all :D There is: Nikon D500 (od roku 2017) Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Nikon AF-S 85mm f/1,8G Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1,8G DX NIKKOR AF-S 300mm f/2,8G VR ED-IF NIKKOR AF-S 200-500mm f/5,6E ED VR and sometimes teleconvertor Nikon AF-S TC-20E II 2xFeedback
First, you must have a fully controllable and obedient dog you trust! It is very important to trust the dog! Then you have to be sure that the dog trusts you and you don't let the other animal hurt you. You must find hawker with owls which are really young (like owl on my photo), or which bears dogs and other animals. All you have to do is take care of the safety of both animals before taking care of the photo. Then just only making a lot of photos and hope that some will be to your liking :)
