Bombardier Transportation Hub - According to history, Trams have operated continuously in Melbourne since 1885 (the horse tram line in Fairfield opened in 1884, but was at best an irregular service). Since then they have become a distinctive part of Melbourne's character and feature in tourism and travel advertising. Have you ever wonder where Melbourne's E-class Trams (the electric trams that runs in the city and also out of suburbs) were made? Believe it or not, they are actually proudly made in Melbourne. Every year, Victorian, tourists, myself and others commutes through these trams! Today I happened to stumbled upon this site as shown in the photo with lots of railways networks interconnected at this site and there's this shed named Bombadier. To my finding, Bombardier Transportation has been in Australia for more 60 years. As a rail technology leader, they have provided the full spectrum of rail solutions, from the manufacture of commuter trains to the supply of complete rail transportation systems and system integration.
