Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Bean Blossom Indiana at Michael Farabaugh Studio's. I was there shooting video for EasyRiders online Magazine. The bike builder was Donnie Delph out of Dayton, Ohio.

Time

What a great day this was. I woke up at 6am grabbed my gear and loaded it up in the truck and started my hour drive south of Indianapolis, IN. Arrived on location at 8:30am before the model and the bike builder arrived. went into the studio and started set up my equipment for the days shoot.

Lighting

I didn't set up the lighting because Michael had the lighting already set up and ready for the shoot.

Equipment

This shot was a still shot taken from my video. The camera I was using was a Canon XF200

Inspiration

I was asked to film the Easyriders photoshoot and interview the model and the bike builder. That way the readers can learn a little more about the people we are putting the spot light on.

Editing

I did not do any post on this image. it is straight out of my video.

In my camera bag

now I keep my Nikon D3100 with my 18-200mm, 35mm and some flash adapters.

Feedback

I lucked out on this shoot because the photographer was a mentor to me and asked me to shoot video for him. I thought what a great way to get my foot in the door. we ended up doing 8 shoots together before he passed away and Easyriders magazine sold and stop their print. so now I am looking at where i can get my foot into another door but I must say just get out there and shoot as much as you can and refine your skills.
