I took the photo of this Woolly Opossum (Caluromys derbianus) after Hurricane Otto hit Central America in 2016. It was a surprise to observe this Woolly Opossum searching food during the day, mainly because they are nocturnal animals. This change of behavior can be a desperate response to the heavy rains that hit the area for a couple of weeks after the Hurricane.
