When you're shooting an event, 99% of the images are standard "paddler next the rock" or "paddlers in formation" fare... But on every shoot there are one or two shots that stand out. For me, last night, it was this one.
The mountains around Hout Bay are spectacular at dusk, and the moon just happened to be rising over Constantiaberg.
The event was the regular Hout Bay Tuesday Series time trial... When it's calm like this, we often go out to Vulcan Rock, about 4km offshore - and the view when you turn the rock and head back to Hout Bay is breath taking.
