A nesting platform has been set up and a mating pair of osprey have made themselves at home.
Such a lovely site to see them.

Had to be patient for this little guy - they are quick and timid!

While going through some of my old books, I found my Grandfather's Bible - which contained a letter from his mother.....

This is a long nose weevil I found while gardening - he was not impressed that I decimated his home rose tree with my pruning efforts.....

So many seals on Macquarie Island although they tend to 'hide' in the tussock....

Most people aim for the lighthouse at Peggy's Cove, but I loved the fishing boats and shacks most of all - plus there were less people around....

Was lucky enough to get really close to a breeding colony of Black-browed Albatross during a recent trip to West Point Island (Falklands).
