Behind The Lens

Location

I had just pulled into work and noticed the ducks swimming in the pond out back. Thought I would try to get that picture and they spooked.

Time

It was a foggy fall morning, the sun was just starting to peak over the mountains at 8:45.

Lighting

I didn't do anything special lighting for this picture because nature provided me with the best setting that morning.

Equipment

This was shot on a Canon powershot sx530 hs. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

I love capturing all the many colors of fall. The fog with the colors just gave it a magically moody look that I just had to get a picture of.

Editing

For this picture I used photo shop to correct the white balance and contrast.

In my camera bag

I always have my Canon powershot sx350 hs, various uv filters and extra batteries. I try to pack lightly as I'm usually out hiking and don't want extra weight.

Feedback

Be patient and always on the lookout for unique settings. Sometimes you will find the most beautiful settings for a picture in the most unexpected places.
