Location
This photo was taken above a shop in Puerto Vallarta Mexico that featured everything Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead.Time
It was a beautiful bright sunny day so I did not need any type of Flash or light manipulation.Lighting
The beautiful Mexican sun was all the lighting that I required for this shot. I walked the perimeter to make sure I had the best angle on the skeletons.Equipment
This was taken with my Canon T3i I used my standard 55 mm lens for this shot. No tripod.Inspiration
It was so eye-catching that I absolutely had to capture this story. Mexico is world renowned for its day of the dead celebrations and art associated with it.Editing
I played around a little bit with light and colour just to enhance the beauty in this Whimsical shot. A bit of cropping to really capture the subjects. In my camera bag
My Canon and a telephoto and a regular lens. My 55 mm. I do not often carry my flash with me and generally use the built-in.Feedback
Look at your subject as if through the eye of a camera. Look at it from different angles from different viewpoints what is the most interesting interesting aspect of your subject and how will you capture it. Do you need to be straight on? Above your subject? Below your subject? On an angle? Etc
