Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Köln - Germany

Time

It was in the daytime

Lighting

There are 2 lights - continuous lights 1 fresnel from the back and 1 Keylight is a 120 skypanel

Equipment

Shot on a Fuji X-H1 with the 16-55mm f2.8 at 55mm f3.6 1/500 Iso 800

Inspiration

There was a setup with this model who was really great at photokina and i asked if i could make a few photos of her, she was ok with that and we did a few shots.

Editing

I converted to B&W added some contrast, thats it.

In my camera bag

For street i use the Fuji X-100f, for studio i use the Fuji X-H1 with 16-55 and 50-140mm. for landscapes i use the Fuji X-H1 with a 10-24mm, Samyang 12mm and the 50-140 as my tele.

Feedback

For this type of shot, think Movie setup, as in hollywood 1960. use continuous lights only, and you will be amazed as how easy it is to shape and work with. The fresnel from the back, i like to show in the final picture, as it brings a filmsetup to the picture, use it to bring dimension to the model. The keylight sould pass as a 45 degree from above and right of the model to simmulate the lighting used in that time arround the 1960. ( still used for film now )
