A beautiful clear sky afternoon in the Mackenzie country of New Zealand is something to be savoured like a fine wine. As my eyes drank in the landscape I came past these perfectly still reflecting pools beside the roadway. Grabbing the camera and hopping out of the car I was able to make this frame before a breath of wind kicked up and shattered the calm of the moment. Looking back it is still possible to feel the cool of the mountain air and smell the minerals of the rock in my mind.
