Beautiful image! I love the shallow depth of field that blurs the background and brings focus to your deer.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my Family Zoo in Venezuela. I'm a self-taught photographer, so every shoot is pretty much a new lesson for me. I try to do my best with my camera and take advantage of it before I get a better one.

Time

I remember going to the Zoo around 3 PM to take advantage of the sunlight, it was a very nice day because I got pretty good photos of some different animals. It was one of my favorite images 'cause I had no tripod, so I had to balance the camera on the corner of a small wall as best I could and thus zoom in because the deer was a bit far away. It was one of the best photoshoot day I can remember. This was taken when I was 14 or 15 years old, I have to verify it.

Lighting

I wanted this image to be a first plane of the Deer.

Equipment

Just my old camera and me, it was an OLYMPUS-SP-620UZ.

Inspiration

I love animals and I wanted to get the best of them with my photographs.

Editing

No, I didn't process this image yet.

In my camera bag

My camera and some batteries.

Feedback

Just relax and wait for the perfect moment. When you shoot animals you must be patient and calm!
