Traveling the Faroe Islands is full of surprises; mostly weatherwise because rain, storm and some sunlight are ever-changing. This makes traveling there sometimes frustrating then again so rewarding when the conditions turn into your favor.
Hiking out to Drangarnir, Faro Islands, requires a tour guide. While meeting a local photographer on the ferry from the southern island of Sudoroy all of a sudden the chance of having a guide for a sunset shooting at the famous Drangarnir appeared. This chance had to be taken. So I found myself on a hike along the dramatic coastline together with my friends. An unforgettable evening was to unfold. This image here representing one of the very first moments the amazing rocks came into sight.
