This image was captured with a Canon 6D converted to Hyper Color Infrared at 470nm. The butterfly had been sitting on the leaf for quite some time with its wings closed, and as the sunlight broke through the clouds and the light hit it, the butterfly spread its wings as if to catch as much of the warmth as it could from the sun.
