Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at Sequoia National Park.

Time

The photo was taken around 10:00 AM.

Lighting

The park was doing a controlled burn at the time and there was lots of hazy smoke in the air which gave soft lighting.

Equipment

I took this photo with a Fuji Finepix S3100 camera (fixed lense) set at normal focal length.

Inspiration

I was out walking around the forest and saw these 3 trees that were standing within 6 feet of each other. They formed a nice, pleasing triangle, so I pointed the camera up and shot.

Editing

No post-processing was used.

In my camera bag

All I had at that time was my Fuji Finepix. These days I carry a Canon Rebel XS with Canon EF 75-300mm zoom and an EF-S 18-35mm zoom. I also carry a circular polarizer and some ND filters.

Feedback

Use your eyes. Look up. Look down. Look all around. If what you see pleases you, shoot it.
