Location

This image was captured in my hometown at Mthatha Country Club, Golf Course.

Time

The time of the day was probably between 12 am and 2 o’clock in the afternoon

Lighting

When it comes to natural day time photography try and stay away from too much light. Like for example, flash or external/ additional lighting. The key is not to have an over exposed picture unless it’s what you are aiming for, but from my experience over exposure sometimes ruins the essence of the picture.

Equipment

The light was provided by a gold reflector, and natural light. In most of my images I try not to use a tripod. I want to depend on my ability to stay still and take deep breath’s in between shots.

Inspiration

This image was part of a swimsuit collection campaign for a local designer who makes clothes. What I wanted to showcase was the swimsuit, the lines, and the pattern.

Editing

Since I used a reflector and natural light, I only used LightRoom to just drop the contrast a bit by a few percentages to accentuate the colour and patterns.

In my camera bag

Just a normal 35ml lens and a DSLR Nikon

Make sure you give your subject comfort and ease. If you are showcasing a product make it about the product and not the model. Stay calm, take your time, pick your location and Always have fun!
