Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in my front yard garden. The sun was shining through the petals of the squash blossom. I love photographing the natural world.

Time

This was taken on a sunny day at around noon, the best time for sun in the garden. Our house is surrounded by redwoods, so sun is at a premium here.

Lighting

This was natural lighting. The sun was filtering through the petals.

Equipment

This was shot with my iPhone 5s. I carry it with me, so that I don’t miss an opportunity.

Inspiration

The rich colors of the velvety petals were irresistible.
