A few weekends back, just as night was falling in the Blue Ridge Mountains, I had the privilege of watching a cloud inversion form and rapidly fill the valley below. In less than 20 minutes time, the valley went from clear with a few wisps of cloud sliding down the far mountain slope to completely engulfed in clouds.
