The Milky Way makes a great night light...for photographers anyway. With the dark skies at the Chaco Culture National Historical Park, anything other than stargazing can be pretty treacherous in the low light! The sky is composited from 20 exposures (10 s each at ISO 3200, f2.8, 14mm). The images were stacked using Starry Landscape Stacker. Just cool enough to want the fly on the tent which helped tone down the light from my Goal Zero lantern for a separate long exposure. Thanks to Wayne Pinkston (https:--pinks2000.tumblr.com) for the great tips. If you get the chance to visit Chaco and take in the night sky, don’t pass it up. Cheers!
