It was at evening, Värttinä began playing at about 10 PM. They were headline band that night.Lighting
The lights were stage lights, but very decent, because it was small stage outside the club.Equipment
I used my Canon EOS 600D and Tamron 17-50, f/2,8. I shoot handheld, no tripod and no flash.Inspiration
Värttinä is my favourite band since 1999, and this show was my 9th time I`ve seen them live. And now I was in closest range of them, about 1-1,5m. I have many photos of them, but this time I had DSLR. In the past I used Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z1 ultrazoom.Editing
Yes, I used post-process, It was a color raw photo and I converted it in Silver Efects plug-in.In my camera bag
I use old Hama bag, not very big. I have there Canon EOS 600D, Tamron 17-50, f/2,8 as main lens, 2 batteries, SD cards, cloth, and one another lens, Canon 10-18, IS STM or Samyang fisheye 8mm, f/3,5. My other lenses I use are Canon 200mm f/2,8 L II, Canon 18-135 IS STM, Canon 50 f/1,8 II, Sigma 70-300, and many old manual lenses.Feedback
I think best to take something similar photo is to be there at the show and to try being in the closest range to musicians at it gets. And also have speedest lens you can get. So you will not to use flash.
